Hi, I’m Gillian.
If we met in person, I’d probably ask you a million questions. I love getting to know someone new.
But since we’re meeting here, let’s start with a few fast facts about me:
From Emergencies to Encores
- 2014 – Started my career as a Registered Nurse
- 2016 – Joined Toastmasters and became hooked on public speaking
- 2017 – Earned my Advanced Certificate in Emergency Nursing
- 2018 – Gave a TEDx Talk (now with over 3.2 million views)
- 2021 – Completed my Master’s in Health Administration
- 2023 – Became the manager of a busy downtown Emergency Department
- 2024 – Officially stepped into my role as a Message Coach
- 2025 – Started working in Change Management – combining my health care leadership & messaging expertise to guide leaders through complex change.

I spent years as an Emergency Room nurse and managed an ER, which means I’m quick on my feet, thrive in chaos, and stay calm under pressure.
These days, I bring that same energy and clarity to helping people find their voice in high-stakes moments, whether it’s a keynote or a team meeting.
A Little More About Me
- I live by the motto: “Don’t let your candle melt in the closet.” I use the good stuff: light the candles, wear the jewelry, write in the nice notebooks.
- I love reading but hate owning books (hello, library holds).
- Yes, my curls are natural. No, you can’t touch them.
- Enneagram 6w7, Myers-Briggs ENFJ, I love a good plan and a great party.
- I thrift like it’s an Olympic sport.
- I take my coffee extra hot, my beer on ice, and never say no to a baked good.
- I fell in love with solo travel in Italy in 2023 and road-tripped through Ireland with a friend in 2024(on the other side of the road, driving stick).
- I live in Vancouver with my husband Fraser, where we love bike commuting and an unshakable love for public transit.

Teaching people to face their fears is in my DNA before nursing, I taught swimming for 7 years. Public speaking isn’t life-threatening, but it can feel that way. I help people move through that fear with a strong message that moves people.
Why I Do This Work
Public speaking changed my life and I believe it can change yours. When you know how to share a message with clarity and confidence, doors open. Ideas land. People listen.
I work with people who are ready to unlock their voice, grow their confidence, and communicate with impact. If that sounds like you…
